Hunting Fees

General Information

CLEANING:

Bird Hunt base prices do not include bird cleaning unless specifically annotated as such.  Bird cleaning is an additional charge as follows:

Quail & Chukar:  $1 per bird, breasted only; $2 per bird, entire bird cleaned.

Pheasant:  $2 per bird, breasted only; $4 per bird, entire bird cleaned.

Ducks: $3 per bird, breasted only; $6 per bird, entire bird cleaned.

Geese: $4 per bird, breasted only; $8 per bird, entire bird cleaned.

HUNTS:

Upland bird hunt packages provide guides, dogs, and birds (Quail, Chukar, and/or Pheasant) in the field, but it is incumbent upon the customer to shoot and kill the birds in order to harvest and take home. Season runs from Oct 1 thru 31 March.

Waterfowl hunts provide guides, dogs, decoys, but do not provide nor guarantee birds.  Waterfowl species are wild birds that are unpredictable as to when and where they fly, or if they will even come within range for a customer to make a clean kill.  Species generally include Mallards, Wood Ducks, Canadian Geese, and some less common species like Gadwall, Green/Blue Winged Teal, and diving ducks. Waterfowl hunts will take place between sunrise and 10:30 am, customers need to arrive at the office no later than 5:30 AM.  Season in accordance with North Carolina hunting regulations.

CUSTOMIZED UPLAND HUNTS:

Package hunts that are customized per guests’ requests may incur additional fees.  Individual bird costs vary due to market influences on feed and fuel (so please contact us for exact pricing), but in general the following are baseline costs: Quail: $8+, Chukar: $12+, Pheasant: $20+

HUNTING DOGS:

All guide provided dogs are trained in standard commands, are well behaved, and up to date on shots.  All customers must coordinate with guides before bringing own dog.  The guide has the final say on whether a customer can bring their own dog or not.  If a guide agrees to allow a customer to bring their own dog, customer’s dog must be trained to standard commands, well behaved, and up to date on all shots (again please let guides know in advance if desiring to bring own dog).

SERVICES:

A restroom is available at the office, trees are abundant elsewhere. A cleaning station, ice, and freezer bags are also available at the office for harvested birds.  A drink vending machine is located on the office porch.  The nearest eatery is Stewarts Grill (10 min drive from office), 6601 Elliott Bridge Rd, Linden, NC 28356; (910) 436-6797, Hours: 6AM – 9PM Mon-Sat, 8AM-9PM Sun.  Lillington is 15 minutes north of office via Hwy 210.
